Clinics
The RHSC runs several weekly clinics during the squash season, singles and doubles (September to May). They are organized and run by our squash club professionals.
Lessons

Reinaldo Rivas
Head Professional, Juniors
Born & raised in Caracas, Venezuela, Reinaldo started playing squash when he was 11 years old. At a very early age, he participated in National & International tournaments, helping grow his passion for the sport even more.
Reinaldo became one of the top players in the Caribbean and South America in the early 90’s. He traveled to many countries to play and teach squash. Reinaldo has taught squash to over 1,000 players and for many, Reinaldo's influence has changed young player's lives forever.
Reinaldo arrived in Canada in 2003 and quickly became a well know member in the squash community. He has played in many different singles tournaments and leagues. Reinaldo added doubles to his squash repertoire in 2006. Now, doubles is a passion too.
Reinaldo has taught at Sports Clubs of Canada and GoodLife Fitness. He came to us in 2012.
Significant Accomplishments:
- Ontario Squash Coach Certified (Level 1).
- Represented Venezuela in multiple International Events.
- Teaching Squash since 1989 (Europe, South America and Canada).
- Participated in North American, European, Caribbean and Latin-American Tournaments.
- 1991-2000- National Champion 9 straight years- Venezuela.
- 1991-1992- Europe Squash Tour- England, Belgium, Portugal.
- 1994- South American Top 16 (South American Tour: Venezuela, Columbia, Peru, Ecuador).
- 1998- Open Caribbean Champion- Barbados- Caribbean Squash Circuit.
- 2004- Ontario’s “A” Champion.
- 2014 – Division 1 Singles T&D Champions (Summer).
- 2015, 2017-2018 – IMAST Team Champions.
- 2017, 2018 – 40+ Buffalo Doubles Invitational Tournament Champion.

Rob Brooks
Head Professional
We are so fortunate to have Rob Brooks at the Richmond Hill Squash Club.
Most people connected to the 'world of squash' will know Rob. If you have not come across Rob yet, then you need to do that soon. Get ready, he's one of kind.
Rob Brooks, a Squash Ontario Hall of Famer and former President and Director of Squash Ontario is BIG NEWS.
Inducted into the Squash Ontario Hall of Fame in 2017 as a builder, he brings to the RHSC a depth of experience in designing and developing our programs. Rob trained and coached many Ontario, Canadian and U.S. squash champions over the years, including our own Thomas Spettigue, and Jennifer Pelletier amongst several others, some of whom have gone on to represent Canada at international and world championships.
Many RHSC members have been part of his programs over the years that not only brought great joy and success in our sport, but also led to many new, long lasting friendships.
Rob has been instrumental in developing Junior and Women's Squash in Ontario. He was head coordinator for the Junior Toronto & District (T&D) City League. His drop-in round robins at the adult/beginner to advanced levels continue to be legendary with players from close and far participating.
Rob, joining the RHSC in 2021, has been a major milestone for our club. His present-day focus is on meeting current members and discussing their squash needs and objectives. Add to this, Rob is committed to assimilating newer members into out fantastic squash club by discussing their squash goals and aspirations.
Rob also bring his worlds of experience by working with Reinaldo Rivas and his team building the RHSC Junior Program.
We continue to welcome Rob to the Richmond Hill Squash Club and are absolutely thrilled he is part of our team. When you join our ranks, we bet he will say 'Hi' to you before you say Hi to him. Either way, YOU win.
Willie Hosey
Head Professional, Doubles
We are so fortunate! Willie is also a recent new addition to the professional ranks of the Richmond Hill Squash Club. Willie's focus; ongoing design and development of Doubles programs for both new and existing members.
Willie is a very well known, well-respected professional in Squash (both Doubles and Singles).
Formerly from Ireland, Willie has won a record 10 National Squash Championships and a five-time World Champion in Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles. In addition to playing on the Pro Doubles Tour for 15 years (ranked #2 in the World with 5 different partners) his proudest accomplishments include:
- Men's World Doubles Champion 2000 (Philadelphia, USA)
- Three (3) Time World Singles Masters Champion in 2012 (London, England), 2014 (Hong Kong, China) and 2016 (Johannesburg, South Africa). It is noteworthy to mention he won his last championship without dropping a game in the tournament!
- Mixed World Doubles Champion 2002, (Toronto, Canada)
- Canadian Doubles Champion 2012, (Montreal, Canada) partnered with our own Mike Pirnak
Willie continues to train, inspire, and coach many players on tour. Right at home at RHSC, Willie will focus on helping to introduce existing and new members to the amazing world of squash doubles. He is committed to helping members advance their skill level, via on-court lessons.
Willie has created a unique instructional method being offered to all RHSC members. A part of this approach - 3 players go on the court with Willie. He will partner with one for 20 minutes giving instruction to that player only, in real time game conditions. For the next 20 minutes Willie will partner with another player and provide his world-renowned instruction. Your game will improve significantly with just 3 sessions. We promise.
